Any basketball player must be able to shoot and take their man off the dribble. Myron Epps uses this training session to do just that: focus on shooting and moves to beat your defender.
Coach Epps uses cones to simulate defenders as he incorporates various moves such as jab step. He puts a big emphasis on ripping the ball through to attack the basket. Starting with medicine ball rip-throughs, the players are forced to stay low and work on the first attack step. This move is crucial to clearing space early in the attack to improve their scoring opportunities.
Form shooting is also covered early in the workout as Coach Epps emphasizes good fundamentals. Next using a set of cone the players put the shot and the attack together as they grab a ball off the cone and rip through to a shot. By teaching moves such as behind the back, crossover, between the legs, and combo moves, Coach Epps demonstrates how to effectively move with a purpose in the open court and attacking the basket. Your player's will learn to gain an offensive advantage and finish strong around the rim.
Coach Epps uses various moves to incorporate into his transition drill, full court dribbling drill, finishing drill, and attacking from the wing to train your player's on how to become scoring threats every time they touch the ball.
This is a must have DVD for the coach that is looking to improve their player's ability to score and attack the rim. Your player's will break down any defender your conference has to offer.
